Can anyone relate? 🤪 As someone who lived in my g Can anyone relate? 🤪

As someone who lived in my gym clothes for three years - because gradually, somewhere along the way of working from home, becoming a mom, and the global pandemic, I fell into my own style rut — and I honestly forgot how it felt to start the day by getting dressed. I told myself I didn’t have the time, it didn’t matter, and that I just wanted to be comfortable.

But I’m here to tell you the simple habit of starting your day by putting on clothes — clothes that MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD about yourself, and that fit your daily lifestyle — can transform your perspective.

And that doesn’t mean you have to get dressed UP, be uncomfortable, or that you always need to buy more, new pieces. It means leaning in to further discovering your own personal style, finding key pieces that bring you joy, that fit your lifestyle, and then finding new ways to put them together so that you feel inspired.

As I’ve worked to rebuild the habit of getting dressed over the past two years myself — and heard from those of you who are also on a similar journey (THE BEST PART!) — I can tell you that there is just something about starting the day by getting dressed.

It’s about showing up for myself. Choosing an outfit, putting it on, and instantly feeling a shift. More focus. More confidence. More energy — even if I’m not leaving the house.

This journey isn’t about dressing for others. It’s about feeling like the best version of you. And if you’ve ever felt like you lost a bit of yourself somewhere along the way — same. But small habits add up, and this one has been powerful for me.

✨ So if you’ve just found me, hiiiii✋🏻!! I hope you’ll choose to follow along! I share everyday outfits that feel effortless but still pulled together (because we deserve to feel good and comfy).
🍒 And to everyone who is already a special part of this community, *thank you, thank you, thank you!* for being here!! One of my greatest joys of this whole experience has been connecting with YOU!

This time two years ago, I set the goal for myself This time two years ago, I set the goal for myself to get out of my gym clothes and start the day by getting dressed again. When I started, I was completely overwhelmed by the new denim silhouettes, new styles/ trends, figuring out how to dress for my new body, and finding clothes that fit my daily lifestyle. As a mom-both on and off duty.

🌀When I started to share my journey, I felt like I was the only one who let myself slip into doing life in leggings, and honestly, I was mortified sharing my reality here. I felt like everyone else around me had their sh*t together, so I was blown away (and so encouraged!!) hearing from all of you that are in a similar chapter of life ❤️🫶🏻

〰️ My goal is to share in a way that’s meant to encourage and inspire you, one step/day at a time. And above all, I hope to give us all grace to do it imperfectly. Because some days we don’t have the time, energy or opportunity to think about what we are putting on 😉

✨ So if you’ve just found me, hii!! 👋 I hope you’ll choose to follow along! I aim to share effortless everyday outfit inspiration that’s comfortable and practical but still makes you feel put together!

🍒 And to everyone who is already a special part of this community, thank you SO SO MUCH for being here!! While I’ve loved starting the day by getting dressed again in so many ways, one of my greatest joys of this whole experience has been hearing from *you* and getting to cheer each other on along the way. 🤍

Let’s rebuild the habit of getting dressed together! 👯✨

Growing up, my dad used to say, “life’s not a fash Growing up, my dad used to say, “life’s not a fashion show!” — usually while hustling me and my sisters out the door. He wanted us to focus on school, sports, and working hard. But I’ve always loved clothes. Even though I didn’t have a lot, I felt the difference when I wore something I loved — it changed my mood. That feeling eventually led me to a dream job at J.Crew and Madewell HQ for ten years.

Fast forward to the chaos of pandemic life, working from home, and two little ones… I slowly slipped into wearing the same worn-out gym clothes all day. Not cute matching sets — I’m talking the actual sweaty workout clothes from that morning. 🫠 I told myself I didn’t have time for anything more — not a shower, not jeans, not makeup.

Then last year, after reading Atomic Habits, I made one small change: I decided to start getting dressed again. And wow — I didn’t expect what a difference it would make.

I’ve realized now — my dad was right. It’s not about a fashion show. It’s about showing up for myself. Choosing an outfit, putting it on, and instantly feeling a shift. More focus. More confidence. More energy — even if I’m not leaving the house.

Getting dressed has become one of the simplest ways I care for myself. Some days it’s subtle — a gentle reminder to be present. Other days, it completely turns things around.

This journey isn’t about dressing for others. It’s about feeling like the best version of you. And if you’ve ever felt like you lost a bit of yourself somewhere along the way — same. But small habits add up, and this one has been powerful for me.

that when you see me pop up in your instagram feed that when you see me pop up in your instagram feed you feel inspired and say to yourself, I could do that too!

If you’re a new mom struggling to get dressed again, I hope you find easy, everyday outfit ideas. Or say to yourself, hey, I could recreate a similar outfit with items in my closet too! As someone a few years ahead on the journey, trust me…you will (re)discover your personal style and sense of self again. It will take time. Give yourself grace along the way.

If you’re an aspiring creator, keep going. It’s hard being in front of the camera every day especially if you’re just starting out. My only advice is to keep showing up and be uniquely you. I heard someone recently say that “trying is cool.” I love that. Keep trying!

Most mornings, I don’t FEEL like getting dressed or moving my body, but I still do it because I know the powerful shift that follows. It’s not really about the morning workout, or the jeans I put on, or the added glow from my makeup that made the difference. It’s that I show up for myself before anyone else does. And taking the extra 5 minutes to get dressed or 30 minutes to work out, makes me show up as the best mom, wife, coworker, and friend I can be for the next 10 hours.

So my big (maybe naive) hope is that by being here you are inspired to think about what you need to be the best version of you. Maybe it’s getting dressed, going for a walk, a break from your phone, meeting up with friends more, or building the confidence to go for it (whatever “it” means for you).

And that’s what I want for you because the world needs the best version of YOU! So start now. Write it down and commit to it. Don’t focus on mastering it yet, just focus on building the habit. Just try and good things will happen.

If you’ve been following along at some point over the past few years, thank you! I hope I’ve inspired you in some small way.
