Getting ready for Thanksgiving can be overwhelming, but we’re here to help. We’ve put together a Thanksgiving Checklist to make sure you’re organized and prepared. From planning your menu to keeping track of who is bringing what side dishes, to creating a grocery list to avoid running to the store on Thanksgiving morning, and a cooking timeline to remove the stress of when to start cooking what — we’ve got you covered!
I also asked my sisters and mom for their top hosting tips, and they shared some great advice. Here are some of their tips:
- Make sure you clean your oven before you start cooking everything. It’s a great task for one day this week or this weekend!
- Shop early to avoid last-minute crowds and stress.
- Create a schedule for each day (can you tell the type of family I grew up in HAHA) but be flexible. Not everything will go as planned, but that’s okay.
- Don’t plan for more than one or two items that need to be cooked at the last second before dinner (like gravy).
- Plan when you will shower/relax a bit before dinner so you feel refreshed and can enjoy the meal.
- Take a moment to be thankful for all you are blessed with.
