When it comes to denim brands, my list of favorites is a long one. There’s Citizens of Humanity (these are my favorite jeans of all time — the perfect straight leg and worth the $$ if you can fit them in your budget), Agolde (their beloved “Riley” jeans!), Mother, and newbie favorite Slvrlake (currently love my ecru pair), to name a few. But of all the denim brands, there’s none quite as iconic as Levi’s.
What’s not to love about a pair of Levi’s? They’re a classic and every chic girl wears them effortlessly (with a pair of flats or strappy heels), and people seem to always be on the hunt for the perfect vintage pair. Any denim lover will tell you as much, and most likely, they’ll be able to name their favorite Levi’s style right down to the wash. So, I had to figure out what I was missing. I tried over a dozen pairs — different styles, sizes, and washes — and I’m happy to say I found my favorite. The best part? They ring in at just over $100.
After trying on the 501 original, 501 skinny, wedgie icon, and ribcage straight ankle, my favorite two pairs are the ribcage straight ankle in middle road and the 501 in tango light. These two pairs are the perfect jeans to update your denim.
Both come in a variety of different washes, so if tango light isn’t for you, try my next favorite, in the middle.)
SIZING NOTE — SIZE UP! Levi’s run small, so consider sizing up 1, if not 2, from your normal size. Trust me!
I didn’t know this tip when I first started my Levi’s journey and could not understand why I despised how every pair fit. Once I sized up, I fell in love and finally got it 🤍
