this is the time of year when I really start to miss my flowers. With the ice-cold temps and barren landscape, it’s nice to bring in a few small plants to enjoy 🤍

Spring can’t come soon enough and we are getting ready for it.
branches + steams
we love bringing in spring branches in the late winter months. I loved hopping down to the flower district when we lived in NYC, but now enjoy going to our greenhouse or hunting at the grocery store for beautiful branches + flowers. there are so many beautiful options without spending a ton of $$$ if you take your time!
looking for attractive faux options to enjoy this year and years to come? these flowers + steams from Terrain look gorgeous!
rose plants
As cliche as it is, I love roses and would cover my house and garden with them if I could. They are so beautiful and fragrant. So, where is an excellent place to find them this time of year? Surprisingly, the grocery store! They are often disguised in the metallic rose-colored pots in the floral section (especially now, around valentine’s day), but look beyond that and swap out the pot when you get home. Your local greenhouse is also a great place to browse. Finally, I am beyond the beyond obsessed with the English roses bred by David Austin — and they ship — if you want to go that route!
That’s it — a bit of a random post, but I hope I inspired you to take a few minutes to freshen up your indoor space with a small plant or two in beautiful planters.
