Hi friends! I hope you had a great week and weekend!! We went back to school, and wow, can I just say it feels so good to all be back in a routine with some space from one another and even more fun when we all come back together as a family to spend time together. This weekend was busy, with Welles starting his Fall soccer league, haircuts for the boys, and then we went down to the beach for the kids to play with their grandparents. At the same time, KCD and I went into NYC to celebrate our anniversary a few days early, followed by a sweet friend’s birthday party this morning and some R&R this afternoon to prepare for the week. I hope yours was filled with exactly what you wanted and needed!
I am sharing this week’s quick checklist for you to print and work through to get organized and prepared for all the fun Fall moments on your bucket list! It’s a FUN ONE!
I hope you enjoy it, and as always — thank you for your friendship and readership.
Xx Meg
THE WEEKLY MEMO
September 11th — September 12th
Halloween — Is approaching — what will you (all) be? 〰 Start thinking about who will dress up this year and brainstorm costume ideas. We curated the top shops that we love for Halloween Costumes this year — I hope you’ll take a peek!
Thanksgiving — Book your Flights 〰 According to research, this is the ideal window to buy your ticket, so stay on top of prices and jump when you see the price you like. Our favorite flight trackers are Skyscanner and Google Flights. Now is also a great time to request PTO, book animal boarding, house sitting, etc.
October Presents — Time to Stock Your Present Closet 〰 It’s time to task batch buying all your presents, cards, and stamps for the month! Look at your calendar and take note of all the October celebrations on your calendar. From kid’s birthday parties and family/friends’ birthdays to baby showers, engagements & weddings, christenings, housewarming gifts, anniversaries, and more!
Find the Fun — Plan Your Visit to the Apple Orchard 〰 Research local farms in your area and identify the one you want to attend this year. Note hours, ticket details, and which apple varieties will be ripe when you want to go. We put together a quick guide on apple picking, including the Best Places to Go Apple Picking in Every State and an easy-to-use directory to find an apple orchard near you!
I hope these micro-tasks inspire you to take action, so you are on your way to creating unforgettable memories with the ones you love the most.
