THE WEEKLY MEMO
December 11th — December 17th
Holiday Gifting — Check your list and purchase any last-minute gift — Don’t forget tokens of thanks for the people who provide regular service and your stocking stuffers! Here are WHAT EVERY TEACHER ACTUALLY WANTS.
Holidays — Plan Table Settings & Decorations — Whether you’re hosting a seated dinner for 12 or a casual ornament exchange over pizza, your table will set the tone for the evening. Make it extra festive. Here are 18 TABLETOP BUYS TO SET A FESTIVE HOLIDAY SCENE.
New Year’s/ Winter Vacation — Create an initial packing list + order what you want/need! I’m lusting over everything in THIS RESORT SHOP. And, if you’re ready to upgrade from the luggage set from Costco, especially with post-pandemic travel picking up, now is a great time (this could be a great gift, too!). THE AWAY CABIN SUITCASE is handsome, not too expensive, and well-reviewed by Wirecutter. My upgrade pick: RIMOWA.
Traveling for Christmas — Decide if you want to ship anything — Think through what you will need to bring and mail anything you want to send ahead — like presents and kids’ basics (diapers, etc.).
Hosting Christmas — Get Prepared & Place Food Orders — Order your filet, fresh ham, turkey, or whatever main protein you plan to serve. Now is also great for sending your linens to the dry cleaner. Double-check and place any final catering order(s) you need to ensure the restaurant will still accept your order.
Christmas — Do you have all your special outfits? — Friendly reminder to pick up any holiday outfits you’ll need for yourself and yours this holiday season. HOLIDAY DRESSING INSPO for you and HOLIDAY OUTFITS FOR LITTLES
Find The Fun — Stuff, Stamp and Write Notes & Mail Your Holiday Cards — Put on A FESTIVE PLAYLIST, pour some wine and address, stamp and write notes to your family and friends! It’s time to put your Cards in the mail to ensure they arrive on time! Enjoy mailing your joy to everyone on your list!
Find The Fun — Enjoy Decorating Cookies — Get in the holiday spirit today and make Christmas cookies to share/swap with your friends and neighbors and to give to your postal workers, delivery drives, etc.! Here is THE BEST HOLIDAY SUGAR COOKIE AND ICING RECIPE.
New Year’s — Invite Your Guests — Text/call your guests to invite them to your NYE party. Let them know the location, the hours, and if/when you want their RSVP!
This post is designed to take you from surviving to thriving for the week of July 31st!
