‘Tis the season for apple cider. I’m excited to try this spiked version on a warm, cozy night on one of the first cold winter days…and then working on perfecting it before Halloween so we can make a big batch to share with friends as we walk our kids around the neighborhood for trick or treating.
Spiked Apple Cider
Serves 2
1 cup apple cider
3-ounce bourbon whiskey OR rum
1 oz Hot Honey (we love red clay’s, hot honey)
2 Orange wedges
For the garnish: cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Heat the apple cider on the stove until hot.
- In the serving glass, stir together the bourbon and Hot-Hot Honey. Pour in the hot apple cider.
- Garnish with an orange wedge, squeezing in the juice, and cinnamon stick
